Tampa is a city in the state of Florida.
History[edit]
It was one of the many cities mentioned in the song "I've Been Everywhere".[1]
Bart became obsessed with U.F.O.s and read Unidentified Flying Outrage! written by the head of the Spaceology Department at the Correspondence College of Tampa.[2]
The Simpsons were watching U.S. Ninja Ultimate Beast Blaster where Marge thought the competitor Marcus might win because he got the best narrative since he was doing it for his buddies at MacDill Air Force Base, and Bart held up a pennant with "MacDill Air Force Base" written on it. MacDill Air Force Base is in Tampa.[3]
Kent Brockman said, "Hard to believe I once turned down a job in Tampa, Florida, because I believed in this city. That was 15 years ago. They wouldn't take you now."[4]
Krusty the Clown was on a podcast being interviewed about the troubled production of his passion project The Sands of Space when Marc Maron said, "Yeah, talk about pressure, though. Man, I remember once I was filming a special at the Laugh Basement in Tampa..." before Krusty cut him off to get back to his own story.[5]
